Back to learning upholstery and I’ve had a lot o Back to learning upholstery and I’ve had a lot of help: Leo & Charlie are keeping the supplies organized, Lulu is testing the chair padding, Dale helped sew and also helped every time the sewing machine jammed. I’m so bad at sewing, holy shit. But I managed to make my own piping/welting and sewed it to the seat fabric? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I haven’t secured anything to the frame yet but I’m proud of my progress so far.

This project has tested my skills but mostly my patience! I spent the weekend swearing and repinning fabric over and over. 😅

Meet Little Miss Lucille Ball Murray. We call her Meet Little Miss Lucille Ball Murray. We call her Lucy or Lulu for short. So far, she’s been 3 pounds of trouble.

She’s volunteered to help us carry on Monty’s legacy. He loved his siblings and loved caring for everyone — he cleaned us up, tucked us in and lovingly watched over us all the time. I hope we can do that for little Lulu. ❤️

This week has been a doozy, y’all!

The other cats never cared about the treat jar, so it’s a fitting and pretty cute solution. And I put it next to the push up treats Leo and Charlie enjoy.

We said goodbye to our sweet Monty today. I don’ We said goodbye to our sweet Monty today. I don’t know how to summarize what Monty meant to us, but for 17 years he was perfect.

Some highlights: he loved to hog my light therapy lamp, hated it when I tried to make the bed, loved treats and presents, was always ready to help with a craft project, obsessed with sunbeams, enjoyed boxes, loved to help us work from home, and, overall, took care of us as much as we took care of him.

He constantly watched out for us. From guarding the bathroom door and yelling at any other cats that wanted to come in to literally tucking us in at night? He was a natural caregiver. 🥺 We are already rather lost without him.
