I love this sign. It’s not too far from where I live and it makes me smile every time I see it. I love that clock sticking out helping providing the time. I love the yellow rectangles against the red brick wall. I love the guitar graphic. But I love the last rectangle the most. FUN INC.

Indeed.

  1. Hey, this is on the corner of Ridgeland! (My shortcut for when the traffic on Harlem or Austin is too much to bear!)

  2. makes me soooooo happy to see this image… i used to teach drums there from about ’88-’90 or so. much fun was had, let me tell ya! glad it’s still in business.

  3. I live in OP too and I always walk by this place. I also work in Oak Brook so I drive by Old Warsaw on my way to work! Thanks for all this cool IL curiosities!

  4. guitar Fun, inc. was started by my father, Richard Harris. Dad had learned the guitar at a young age in Marshalltown, IA and started teaching early in life. Because of his dedication, love for the guitar and his knowledge of music, there is a Guitar Fun store and lesson program today. It warms my heart to know that his dream, his vision and his love for music is still being fostered in the hearts of many. Thank you for sharing this page. Like my Dad, I am also a professional musician and can appreciate your sentiment.
